We had our first blood spraying, child screaming, heart racing trip to the ER. We came home after several hours with a broken finger and seven stitches. We made a return trip to the doctor on Tuesday and now have a boy with a bright green cast who thinks it's great for pretend gun fights. The only draw backs are that it is on the left hand of a left handed boy and he already had to miss his first soccer game and probably three more.

Good thing he had his first karate test the week before.

When the finger smashing happened we were on our way to Gold Rush Days to pan for gold. We were lucky that it was a four day event so we still got to go a couple days later. Just love the things my kids decide to wear!

Even though Max can't play, we had no lack of soccer enjoyment. Ashlyn had a game too (she's in the white uniform with blond pig tails).

are ashlyn's bows for real? i love her!
No, no, no! I'm so sorry about Max's hand..and the left hand at that.
Your kids look darling. They totally look like they are ready for an expedition.
You should see the things Posey asks me to do with her hair! For school, I don't care, but on Sunday there are times when I just have to put my foot down.
Your kids are way too big! Love Caleb's curly locks.
Poor kid! So sad when they get hurt like that.
the bows are fantastic!
And I love Caleb's hair, blowing in the wind. Too cute.
The cast cracks me up...yep, TOTALLY a gun.
what on earth did he do? and i agree with Amy...looks like a built in gun to me. does he love it or hate it? poor kid.
