First trip to the ER

We had our first blood spraying, child screaming, heart racing trip to the ER. We came home after several hours with a broken finger and seven stitches. We made a return trip to the doctor on Tuesday and now have a boy with a bright green cast who thinks it's great for pretend gun fights. The only draw backs are that it is on the left hand of a left handed boy and he already had to miss his first soccer game and probably three more.

Good thing he had his first karate test the week before.

When the finger smashing happened we were on our way to Gold Rush Days to pan for gold. We were lucky that it was a four day event so we still got to go a couple days later. Just love the things my kids decide to wear!

Even though Max can't play, we had no lack of soccer enjoyment. Ashlyn had a game too (she's in the white uniform with blond pig tails).

Max Turns 6

Max turned 6 on Sunday. His birthday cake request far exceeded my limited cake decorating skills so he offered to decorate his own cake. He was happy with his "Harry Potter" creation and he may have started a new tradition in our family. On Tuesday he took some friends from school to a bounce house to celebrate.

School's Out

Max had a wonderful year in Kindergarten. It went by way too fast. Here are some pictures from his last day.

Things Max liked about Kindergarten (in his words):
Playing
Being star of the day
Carpet blocks during work time
Snack time
Making new friends
Playing with my friends
Learning
Listening to stories
