Max Turns 6

Max turned 6 on Sunday. His birthday cake request far exceeded my limited cake decorating skills so he offered to decorate his own cake. He was happy with his "Harry Potter" creation and he may have started a new tradition in our family. On Tuesday he took some friends from school to a bounce house to celebrate.

School's Out

Max had a wonderful year in Kindergarten. It went by way too fast. Here are some pictures from his last day.

Our Cubbie bear turned one this week.

Max and Ashlyn had fun decorating the house and planning the party.

Determination

Ashlyn taught herself how to ride a bike without training wheels today. This was her New Years Resolution and she was determined to do it by her self. I've been outside with her several times trying to bribe her to let me help her. She never gave in. She kept telling me she knew how to do it. She tried over and over and over until finally she got started and kept going. She was so excited and had to call dad right away and let him know the big news (he has also tried several times to help her and she wouldn't allow it).
