Determination

Ashlyn taught herself how to ride a bike without training wheels today. This was her New Years Resolution and she was determined to do it by her self. I've been outside with her several times trying to bribe her to let me help her. She never gave in. She kept telling me she knew how to do it. She tried over and over and over until finally she got started and kept going. She was so excited and had to call dad right away and let him know the big news (he has also tried several times to help her and she wouldn't allow it).

New

Max has a NEW obsession with taking pictures of random things around the house. He fills the whole camera and leaves it for me to discover. Here are a few that he recently took.

Max lost his first tooth last night. He was so excited this morning when he found money instead of his tooth under his pillow. He asked me all sorts of questions about the tooth fairy. When you think about it, this really is an odd tradition!
