Trip to the North Pole

On Saturday we went with some friends to a park and visited Santa. The exciting part was getting to the North Pole. We took a ride on a small steam engine all the way to Santa's house. For the first time Max and Ashlyn were not afraid to see Santa and they told him what they want for Christmas, dinosaurs and strawberry shortcake! After the visit we got to ride the train back to our car. Fun!

Ashlyn LaRae

Lately Ashlyn has been wanting me to take pictures of her. Here are some of the most recent!

Ashlyn had "Sleeping Beauty" hair so she wanted her picture taken.

Max came in and joined the fun!

While I was on the computer Ashlyn came in and informed me that she had done her eyebrows and that she likes black.

Here she came in with lipgloss on and was ready to take a picture.

Cute girl playing the piano.

Thanksgiving

The day after Thanksgiving we went to the Sacramento Zoo. We had fun seeing the animals. Ashlyn loved the baby giraffe and Max loved the frogs and jaguars. We had a fun break filled with eating, playing, football, shopping, and my favorite, a carmal apple at Apple Hill!

November

Today the kids helped me rake leaves. All they really wanted to do was play in them. It's crazy how many leaves we have and the trees still look green and full. When I was taking pictures Max said "We've done this before in Connecticut". He has an amazing memory. He still asks if we can go back.

We made turkeys for FHE on Monday. Ashlyn wanted a turkey hat and Max wanted to make a turkey with the shape of his feet and hands.

We got a surprise call from Grandpa Joel. He was in town so we went to Valley Springs to visit him and Grandma and Grandpa Hollingsworth. We had a fun time visiting!

Here are a couple pictures from Halloween night. We went trick-or-treating with the Dean's. The day before Max decided he wanted to be Jack Skeleton but I said no way. He was going to wear the turtle shell I made him if he liked it or not. We compromised and I let him be a ninja turtle instead of the original Franklin.

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween weekend. On Friday we carved pumpkins and made pumpkin cookies. Marcus helped Max and Ashlyn carve their pumpkins.

On Saturday we went to our ward trunk-r-treat activity. Max was Franklin the turtle (He got upset because everyone kept asking him if he was a ninja turtle) and Ashlyn was a giraffe. We did not get very good pictures of the kids in their costumes. Hopefully we will take better ones tomorrow.

Sunday we had friends in the ward over for our annual Halloween dinner. Marcus is awesome for making it every year! We did have a little catastrophe with the cake but it all turned out well.
